JOIN FRIENDS OF THE ALPHABET
We are friends of the alphabet. We are lovers of letters. Some of us are professional, some amateurs. Some have found a creative outlet; others have discovered an enthralling hobby. Some have found a place to belong; others, a place to escape to. Many are artists, printers, bookbinders, graphic designers, writers, students, and some are onlookers who simply like what they see.
Our purpose is to "promote the interchange of ideas, techniques, and designs of letters and their applications." Please accept this open invitation to attend our next meeting.
We meet on the second Monday of each month. Meetings start at 7:00 PM and are held at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 265 Washington Street, SW, Atlanta, Georgia 30303, 404-659-6236. Programs at these monthly meetings include lectures, demonstrations, mini-exhibits, and panel discussions. Informal holiday gatherings are held in July and December.
Additionally, we offer our members a newsletter plus monthly information updates. You'll receive a Membership Directory, discounted workshop fees, and have the privilege of borrowing books from our library of Calligraphic publications.
Members may learn new skills and techniques at workshops led by prominent calligraphers and graphic designers. You're invited to participate in exhibits, craft shows, and special events that relate to the Calligraphic Arts.
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP is $24.00 from September 1 to August 31. New members may join in March, or later, for $12.00.
