JAPANESE PAPER MAKING WORKSHOP

This 30 hour week-long professional experience is an in-depth study of Japanese Papermaking. It covers the history of Japanese papermaking and all stages of Japanese papermaking from fiber collection to hands-on papermaking. BARBARA CALZOLARI WORKSHOP:
"Nib to Brush" - August 2012
Barbara Calzolari is coming to Atlanta again this summer (August 2012) for a workshop in Pointed Pen Variation with Brushes. Learn how to use the brush as if it were performing as a nib. There are many short videos of this technique with a Pentel Brush Pen and many other tools.
For advanced beginner or intermediate advanced. Participants must have had a solid introduction to copperplate or pointed pen. See classes section for a guide to instruction in the Atlanta area.
The workshop is three days, beginning with a lecture called Passion for Calligraphy on Thursday evening which may be purchased separately from the workshop.
